Crochet Blanket Kit

Our crochet kits are super easy to use, fun and your child can make something to play with afterwards. The kits contain everything needed to make the project, have simple and easy to follow instructions with lots of pictures. We precast  the project which makes it easy for children to start learning to crochet.

Our kits are designed for complete beginners. What makes our kits different is the fact that we cast on the blanket and crochet the first row. From my experience of teaching children to crochet, this way makes it easier for them to start. Beginners often find it easier to learn the crochet stitch when they already have a crocheted piece they can hold. Also there is no need to learn how to make a chain and the different ways of making a double crochet stitch.

Materials

We use chunky yarn and 9mm crochet hook. This makes it easier to hold and the project will grow quickly, allowing children to see progress which will motivate them to carry on.

We use soft acrylic yarn which is easy to care for, suitable for vegans and perfect for babies – making the final project and ideal gift for a younger sibling.

Instructions

There are detailed instructions, accompanied by lots of pictures and written in a plain language. There is also a ‘Before You Start’ guide which explains basic crochet terms, techniques and how to read a crochet pattern.
